The final preparations for Pig Roast 2009 begin today. Things to do today:
- Pick up the pig (important)
- Setup a massive tent
- Ice my Newcastles and Meg’s Magic Hat (very important)
- Set up tables and chairs
- Marinate the pig in a canoe
- Final prep on the “pit”
- Make tee shirts that say “Here piggy piggy…”
I think the biggest adventure of the day will be picking up the pig. Factors involved: dirt roads, slaughterhouse in kentucky, and 120 lbs of newly deceased porker. Then after we get “Wilbur” in the truck, we drive back to harrison with a whole pig in the bed of the pickup. Last time meg did this she scarred a whole schoolbus load of grade school children for life.  Keep an eye on this blog, we’ll have pix and posts throughout the day. For now, peruse the pix from last time.
